3rd LINE SUPPORT ENGINEER- £45K- GLOUCESTER

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Providing 3rd line support via escalations from the Service Desk, as part of change delivery or in response to direct requests from the customer
  • Managing own workload of tickets and changes to ensure SLAs are met
  • Identifying the root cause of issues and, where appropriate, advising on suitable solutions or resolving as required
  • Working with team members and the Senior Management Team on complex issues and incidents to provide appropriate service and resolution to the client
  • Working with the Service Desk team on escalated issues, support and knowledge transfer
  • Work with 3rd party software and systems suppliers where necessary
  • Work with customer in house support teams where applicable
  • Providing guidance to customers on the best use of their IT Solutions
  • To maintain the security of our own and our customers’ Information Systems

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Windows Desktop environments, including Windows 7, 8 & 10
  • Windows Server 2008 / 2012
  • Office 365 and Exchange Online
  • MS Exchange Server 2013 / 2016
  • Networking – LAN, WAN, firewalls
  • Wireless networks
  • Virtualisation – VMware / Hyper-V
  • Thorough understanding of Information Security best practices
  • Understanding of ITIL best practices
