Barclay Anderson is currently working with an international organisation based in Birmingham, They are looking to recruit a solution delivery team lead with EDI experience. This is an exciting Full-Time permanent opportunity to work in the heart of Birmingham.

The primary focus of the Solution Delivery Team Lead is to ensure seamless functionality between customers and the sales and technical functions within the company’s organisation and the consultancy team. This role is also responsible for setting KPI’s and to ensure that the respective team is meeting KPI’s and delivering projects on time and in full while ensuring processes and procedures are developed and adhered to.

OBJECTIVE OF ROLE:

  • Deliver and manage strategic initiatives based on the company’s overall strategic direction;
  • To maintain a detailed understanding of the products and how these are implemented to perspective customers;
  • To apply a professional consultative approach to project management through analytical and solution driven advice to customers improving the scope of a project above and beyond original expectations;
  • To provide accurate and timely information relating to the management of projects ensuring complete visibility of projects from initial scope to final delivery to all stakeholders both internally and externally;
  • To develop positive and professional working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and, to support sales management functions at the technical and project management levels;
  • To contribute to the company’s knowledge base, constantly reviewing and improving internal and external project management process documentation while maintaining and updating customer specific knowledge base information for each project;
  • To identify and manage potential project related problems; apply an analytical focus to determining options and solutions through effective risk and issue management; conduct project post mortems and recommendations for improving future projects and engagements;
  • Be a positive leader of the team, collaborative, engaged, and supportive of each team member’s personal and professional development;
  • Manage, organise and delegate tasks and responsibilities appropriately and effectively to ensure maximum use of resource, driven by delivery dates and project goals;
  • Coach, motivate and develop team members, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work;
  • Provide team members with regular feedback or appraisals and formal guidance sessions to ensure team members achieve both personal fulfilment as well as career development;
  • Contribute in the preparation of learning materials and the provision of relevant training to team members as and when required to ensure new team members have a broad spectrum of business and technical training;

RESPONSIBILITIES: include but are not limited to

  • Project Management: Support strategy development, implementation and management;
  • Project Knowledge Base: Enhance and update the company’s project management knowledge base on an on-going basis;
  • Customer Project Support: Act as a point of contact for identified key client account(s), liaising specifically for project requirements, progress, reporting and the development of further potential customer projects;
  • Team Management: Provide leadership and support to ensure effective, fair and equitable management of project co-ordinator and consulting staff throughout the organisation; Coach, motivate and develop the team members. Set team KPI’s in conjunction with management for the team to work to;
  • Reporting: Preparation of project technical and progress reports and other ad-hoc reports, where required

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience and knowledge with EDI
  • Some project management experience
  • Strong analytic and problem solving skills
  • Experience of Customer support
  • Strategic thinking
  • Stakeholder management
  • Management or team lead experience

This role is commutable from: Rugby, Nuneaton, Leamington Spa, Birmingham, Solihull, Coventry, Sutton Coldfield, Wolverhampton, Tamworth, Lichfield, Leicester and Walsall.
